Fair Use

Effective Date: July 14, 2026

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Fair Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the acceptable boundaries for using Agreed's free and paid subscription plans. It exists to ensure the platform remains fast, reliable, and fairly accessible to all users, and to prevent abuse of shared system resources.

This Policy supplements our Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service will govern.

2. Who This Applies To

This Policy applies to all users of Agreed, including those on the free plan and all paid subscription tiers, unless a specific enterprise agreement states otherwise.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Agreed to:

  • Create, store, sign, and manage contracts and legal agreements for legitimate personal or business purposes
  • List and negotiate deals through the marketplace in good faith
  • Invite collaborators, counterparties, or team members to review and sign documents
  • Use the platform's features within the limits of your selected subscription plan

4. Prohibited Use

To protect the integrity and performance of Agreed for all users, you agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the platform beyond normal interactive use
  • Create excessive numbers of accounts to circumvent free-plan limits
  • Upload documents unrelated to genuine agreements (e.g., using storage as a general file-hosting service)
  • Generate abnormally high volumes of API calls, document creation, or e-signature requests that exceed reasonable individual or organizational use
  • Use the marketplace to post spam, fraudulent listings, or unrelated advertising
  • Attempt to resell or sublicense access to Agreed without written authorization
  • Engage in activity that degrades platform performance or availability for other users

5. Plan Limits & Fair Usage Thresholds

Each subscription plan (free or paid) includes specified limits on items such as document storage, number of active agreements, e-signature requests, and marketplace listings, as described on our pricing page. These limits are designed to reflect fair, real-world usage for the intended plan tier.

If your usage pattern significantly and consistently exceeds what is typical for your plan tier — even if under a stated numerical limit — we reserve the right to:

  • Contact you to discuss your usage and recommend an appropriate upgrade
  • Apply reasonable rate limiting to protect platform stability
  • Request that you move to a plan tier suited to your usage volume

6. Enforcement

If we determine, in good faith, that your use of Agreed violates this Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning and request corrective action
  • Temporarily throttle or limit access to specific features
  • Suspend or terminate your account in accordance with our Terms of Service

We aim to resolve fair use concerns collaboratively wherever possible before taking restrictive action, except in cases of clear abuse, fraud, or security risk.

7. Reporting Misuse

If you believe another user is violating this Fair Use Policy — for example, through spam marketplace listings or fraudulent agreements — please report it to [email protected] with relevant details.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Fair Use Policy as our platform and user base evolve. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notice. Continued use of Agreed after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
